Presence Team Receives ‘Friends of Sanpark 2025’ Award
The Presence Team at the School of Nursing, North-West University, Potchefstroom Campus, recently experienced a delightful surprise when they were honoured with the “Friends of Sanpark 2025” Award. This recognition celebrates the team’s loyal support and active involvement with SANCA Sanpark and their programs.

The award was an acknowledgment of the team’s commitment to community engagement, collaboration, and making a tangible difference.
Since the beginning of this year, the Presence Team has worked alongside SANCA Sanpark and other stakeholders, contributing to initiatives aimed at supporting rehabilitation, recovery, and holistic wellbeing.
SANCA Sanpark expressed their gratitude for the School of Nursing’s involvement in their activities, highlighting the impact of the Presence Team in fostering meaningful partnerships. The team’s engagement supports the work of the Sanpark Rehabilitation Centre in Klerksdorp, which provides treatment for alcohol and drug addiction and supports individuals in maintaining sobriety.
For the Presence Team, this award is more than a recognition - it is a reminder of the importance of presence, empathy, and collaboration in community work. It reinforces the team’s mission to uplift communities, strengthen partnerships, and cultivate care that transforms lives.
Receiving the Friends of Sanpark 2025 Award was a proud and inspiring moment, and the Presence Team looks forward to continuing this valuable partnership, building on a foundation of trust, care, and shared commitment to community wellbeing.
